Defender Sound Deadening and Heat Proofing

Sound Deadening and Insulation for Defenders

Our much-loved Land Rover Defenders can be on the noisy side at times; however, the good news is that this can be alleviated with Sound Deadening and Insulation sheets. There are no quick fixes to reduce road and engine noise and if you want the problem solved properly it requires a bit of work, but in the end, you’ll be happier with the vast improvement in the quality of the drive. Unwanted noise is created within most vehicles, especially the Land Rover Defender. This occurs across most parts of the vehicle, such as the doors, the engine bay etc. All of which need to be treated using several different methods to achieve worthwhile results.

Rear Door Hinge Kit for Land Rover Defender - Stainless Steel

This product is a stainless steel rear end door hinge kit, designed for Land Rover Defender, Series 2 and Series 3 models. The replacement of the original Land Rover component is a common task as they are known to deteriorate over time. These hinges are an ideal replacement for damaged or corroded door hinges. The advantage of using this product over the official Land Rover part is that these do not need to be painted. This product will save you money, firstly by being longer-lasting and secondly on re-painting costs when compared to the traditional component.

Import Notice: Fitting Instructions

Prior to beginning the work, make sure that the new hinges move freely. It is important that this change is undertaken with the door closed. It is best done with two people, one person inside, and one person outside. Loosen the bolts either side and then replace the hinge bolts like-for-like. Do not open the door until all hinges have been replaced. Failure to keep the door closed while replacing the hinges will put too much pressure or weight on the hinge resulting in the hinge seizing or buckling and we cannot replace items that have been damaged due to incorrect fitting.
