The instructions were vague not explain ing in depth regarding placement of the pins. I got the feeling that this should be obvious. Ultimately from your website l realized the arrangement of pins (fir trees). The instructions included should be revised or just refer to website to begin with.

We have a classic LR Defender Puma. Last week we had our 9th item from MASAI 4x4 fitted.1st) Truck-Lite 7 Inch Ultra Bright LED Headlights, NAS style LED Lights Upgrade Kit for Land Rover Defender (95mm) - 11pcs & LED Side Repeater Indicator Lamps to replace the poor OME, what a difference they made especially the head lights. We have to give them 5*****.2nd) was Tree Sliders / Rock Sliders, we went with these to protect the side of our Fender from the careless morrons on the roads not because we off road. Again a 5***** product.3rd) the Tubular Bumper & Steering Guard, a much better product than the OME bumper which had rotted. Yes, again we give them 5*****.4th) Spare Wheel Carrier - Extra Heavy Duty, we've never liked the weight of the spare wheel on the rear door, plus it caused problems trying to open & close the rear door. We had looked at several models but found the MASAI 4x4 item far superior in design & quality. Not only does it take the weight off the door but transfers it to the rear cross member via the lower hing. Added to this it articulates with the door as it's opened & closed, we haven't found another as good. This we have to give 7******* because it's a must for Defender owners with rear door mounted spare weels.5th) Lamp Guards for NAS Style LED Lights. We had to replace a broken tail light so have gone with these. Another 5***** product.6th) Dark Tint Fixed Side Windows. The OME sliding windows leaked & we had a minichare Amazon rain forest growing inside them. Hence we went for fixed side window as we never open then plus the won't leak like the OME. They are another 5***** product.WARNING!!! if you are looking for CHEAP, POOR QUALITY products don't look at MASAI 4x4. But if you want GOOD QUALITY, WELL ENGINEERED & INIVATED products then your looking at the right place MASAI 4x4!!! We are NOT rich, but appreciate good quality items that will last.We have to say a massive thank you to MASAI 4x4 for their products & for fitting our recent new Fixed Side Windows, an excellent job well done.

I visited Firzan and his team on Tuesday 6th August 2024 for advice on a couple of issues I had with my td5 90 defender, purchased a lovely steering wheel with a quick release optimill boss which they happily fitted for me also fitted a new drivers side seatbelt which was ripped, and they also covered my drivers seat with the correct XS base seat cover due to being ripped and worn, fantastic advice and service from Ferzan and his team and as you can see by the pics departed with a Special Masai spare wheel cover. Ferzan & his Team retrofitted a set of panoramic windows that had been poorly fitted by my defenders previous owner. Top notch service and help right at the point that it’s needed - “Don’t worry, we can help you put your Land Rover right and solve your leak” we’re the exact words I needed to hear and they delivered on that promise. Really good company and support - I will visit them again at some point for more customisation.

Just purchased a new roof lining for my defender 90 . This arrived very quickly and was perfectly packaged. Slight issue as I have the sunroof and needed to cut out the hole to fit. After speaking to Masai the problem was sorted right away. The roof lining is brilliant quality and fits perfectly. We were impressed by the excellent quality of the product and responses we received from this Family business. We needed advice about the correct swing away spare wheel carrier for our vehicle. These guys are not the cheapest, but the quality of their product is superior to most of the others we have seen. The only constructive critism we feel we should make is that the fitting of the carrier to the rear door is definitely a two man job. Thank you.
My 9 year old Defender 90 was starting to look very tired, it has never been garaged and time has not been kind to it. The side windows were growing moss in the bottom of them, the steering box leaking like a sieve (not uncommon apparently) and all the exterior bolt rusting away nicely as was the underside.I contacted Masai and spoke at length with Ferzan the owner. Ferzan had all the time in the world to talk me through the things (and costs) of a refurbishment.I took the defender to them a couple of weeks ago. I picked it up yesterday and it looks almost like new now. New side windows, mirrors, mud flaps, steering box, all new stainless bolts, refurbed all 5 wheels, cleaned and painted under the vehicle etc etc.Masai are great people to deal with, they will suggest the cheapest options for you and go out of their way to procure items not in stock. They took me to nearby train station when I dropped the vehicle off and picked me up when I came to collect the vehicle.I'll definitely be going back to them when the Defender needs some more TLC.

The windows arrived in Oregon quickly and without defect. I do, however, wish the rivets were one size larger as the ones I received had a difficult time pulling the metal snug against the window frame.Also I love how the new windows don’t rattle at idle or leak when it rains!
I do not recommend doing business with this company.No customer focus or concern.Non-transparent business practices.I have purchased a roof lining, and paid Masai over 200€ for the delivery to my home in Portugal.I understand i would have to pay any taxes and customs duties that would be due, but i was not expecting to have to pay any extra fees to the delivery company. But unfortunately i did: DHL required me to pay an extra 76€ to handle the process.My understanding is that all costs with the delivery company should be included in the "delivery" item I have paid to Masai.Masai unfortunately has not replied to my complains at first, and after pushing, they did answer with a blunt "not our problem, nothing we can do for you". Very very poor customer care.
Booked my Defender in for a few windows to be fitted prior to a Dormobile conversion. The team at Masai were fantastic and it didn't take long to change planned fit for another following their welcome advice. Job was finished in a few hours and the quality excellent.The mint tea on offer was refreshing and the resident hound will soon be a friend. Recommended.
Found out about Masai through various sources. My experience has been very good, friendly staff and owner, they gave me tips and help me out when needed. Absolutely amazing team (Esp Ferzan) with the best quality parts I’ve come across for defenders.Had a Rear panoramic glass set, dynamat, door stay and some electrical switches from Masai.Quality is absolutely fantastic and having seen a few panoramic windows and their qualities, this one is definitely the only place to go to.Only 2 negatives being,1) I wish I came to them sooner rather than buy parts elsewhere :D2) Still haven’t met the lovely team and haven’t gotten their installation services since my 90 is a project halfway across the world.
Land Rover 110 / Defender fixed side window. Great quality and no leaks for the first time in 20 years - should have replaced them long ago. For my 1989 110 CSW I did need to take 2mm off the existing aperture, but once in a massive improvement to the old slide windows. Prompt delivery and a good price for the quality you get.
As always, the guys (and girls) at Masai provide the highest level of service. Their own products are of the highest quality, and look good too. They even make great tea! Along with this, I cannot recommend their in-house fitting service highly enough.
I have bought loads of parts from Masai they have a real understanding of originality.I had an issue with installing a sunroof in the headliner supplied by Masai and I had a short period to get this work completed and the owner himself spoke to me on face time from his bed to help as he had just had an operation but still helped us complete this project. I commissioned a number of upgrades from Ferzan at Masai including their own patented panoramic windows, new interior trim/headlining and upgraded lights. Now looks and feels like a new classic 90. Truly excellent and I did not think that I would say this for spare parts supply and fitting. needed new rear heated screen and wanted a front heated one. Ordered on the phone and arranged for Masai to fit both, including new seals etc. Could not have been more helpful. Refused a deposit or payment on the phone. Went to their new premises (vast, compared to the old one) and was met with a warm welcome, shown around and work started at once. Offered a seat in their customer area with wifi or a choice to be taken by them to a local farm shop and cafe (went for the latter!). Worked speedily and phoned then collected from the farm cafe when complete - much sooner than I had anticipated. They insisted I checked not only the work done but also that all the electrics were working before I left (they were). Helpful suggestions about my radio aerial (never great in a defender). I have had parts of excellent quality before but this was the first time they fitted them for me. Would I go back - yes, of course!

Bought a set of seat covers and new foams for a defender fit was perfect quality seems good so far, my only comment would be the foams dont include the head restraint section (not a deal breaker but my car needed these too)

Left the guys with my 2007 defender puma 110 hardtop to fit two blind spot windows and a new steering wheel, due to the temperature outside being around zero they pulled in numerous space heaters to make sure the workshop was at the right Temperature for the bonding glue to cure. What a great job, super friendly and the Turkish coffee is worth the trip alone! One of the workmen noticed my doors had dropped a bit so sorted for me as a favour, must be a perfectionist unlike me LOL. Would highly recommend, great work, super quality, excellent value for money.
Bought a steering guard for my 91 Defender. Great product very well-built, went on extremely easy exactly as described, highly recommend. Believe it shipped from England to Arizona in less than five days. Posted picture of final product.
I purchased one of the steering guards and a front diff guard, overall very impressed with the build quality, fitted perfectly, both items are build tough and look like they would take a real pounding. Defiantly would recommend these products.

I have visited a number of Land Rover specialists for work on my 2008 Defender and have generally had good experiences but I had not used Masai4x4 until this week.I ordered a roof rack, new headlights, a new bumper and a new rear step.The quality of the products is fantastic, although I had expected that as Masai products are very highly recommended on the various online Defender forums. What really delighted me was the service provided - Ferzan and his team are incredibly helpful and really went above and beyond in repairing "improvements" carried out by a previous owner and keeping me informed as to the progress of the job. The workmanship is top quality and the team gave me some very good advice about a few future changes I was planning.My Defender is a bit of a project and I still have some work to do. My experience with Masai4X4, UK, was exceptional. Their products are first class with very useful mounting instructions. Having decided to install electric windows to my 1993 Defender 90, I was unhappy about the exposed live feed wire having to cross from the inside of the body to the door it looked so bad. However, I found on the Masai website the rubber door gromit in which to hide these unsightly wires and what a difference it made. You can always rely on Masai for top quality Land-rover Defender products.
Masai 4x4 helped me fit a large roof tent to my Nissan Patrol. They where incredibly flexible allowing me to bring my Patrol in at short notice. The job was difficult as had so many little custom things that needed to be fitted, including roof bars, brackets for tent and load bar feet. There seemed to be challenges at every step but the mechanics overcame each one, including a final issue with the Frontrunner roof bar feet which seemed almost impossible to fix on the spot but they managed, this meant the job was finished on the day. Just want to give a huge thank you to the guys at Masai for their excellent work. I highly recommend them.
The advise these guys have given me about my Landrover Defender project has been so useful. I spoke with Ferzan a lot, they are all super helpful. I really shopped around and it was clear these guys are the best defender experts out there. Massive thumbs up ??
I have just had my 2 defenders worked on by Masai, and what a great job they did. My ‘farm truck’ has been transformed. We had both land rovers fully wax oiled underneath and the rear cross members sprayed to a very good standard. They also fitted lots of upgrades and replaced worn parts. They both look like new vehicles and the value of them has increased because of this. We will continue to use these guys on a regular basis!

The shipping was fast, the price was the best I found, but the problem is that in my case, being a European resident, we now have import costs that increase costs a lot and you also end up paying more than the difference in Europe is worth price. A visit to this Land Rover outfitter has been the best part of ownership of my 98' D90. They had available all the parts to accessorize my Rover and were superior outfitters, who I needed desperately. From the complex electrical diagnostic of a short circuit to the transformation of a TD5 to a Puma body rear seat conversion. I recommend this shop on all points of service and support. My wife bought a spare wheel carrier as a surprise, the Masai heavy duty one is absolutely fantastic, it was relatively easy to fit, its well made and it was delivered perfectly and on time. Service was excellent and received my Steering Guard quickly. I ordered it painted black which the plate and brackets were indeed black on arrival. However the bolts were silver I would have thought they would have been black as well, otherwise it would have been a 5 star review.
Myself and my dad thought they were lovely people, very helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this company to anybody who needs any work doing to there land-rover

Masai defender upgrades, provided me with a first class service, of all my years of using land rover service companies this has to be the best so far .To name but a but a few upgrades that were completed well ahead of schedule:Headlining of roof , including sound deadening.Front bumper with driving lights, LED headlights and LED lights all round.Stainless steel bolts all round on doorsBonnet checker plate and wings.Roof rack.Sliding Masai panoramic tinted windows.Ferzan and his team could not be more helpful , with suggestions and tips to make my visit to the MasaiWorkshop worth the journey.Communication was good throughout with phone calls and pictures of progress .I would strongly recommend Masai defender upgrades to any one wishing to invest in their pride and joy.
Ordered a set of four Defender side facing rear seat covers to improve the 22 year old originals as they were sun damaged and looking their age. Ordering was easy and they duly arrived by courier in a short time. The covers were good quality and were reasonably easy to fit. Had to query what the packet of small brass ring hooks were for but it became obvious after a while (they are used underneath to tension the base pad cover). Overall very pleased with them but if buying, it would be a good idea to also get some leatherette to stick to the base of the seat pad otherwise, what ever colour the seats were originally would be visible.
I don't normally write reviews but the Masai 4x4 family are an incredible bunch of honest, hardworking and Defender mad people who deserve to be shouted about! I was struggling to find places to supply and fit the long list of accessories and upgrades I wanted for my Defender and I'm so glad I found Masai and called them. So far I've had a roof rack, rear ladder, right light guard, wingtops and some decals but we have so much more planned. Their products are high quality and look fantastic! You can really tell that the whole team care a lot about the products and services they offer. Also, I work remotely and they were kind enough to set me up in their conference room with a constant supply of tea and Turkish coffee (if you haven’t tried Turkish coffee you NEED to) so that I could work whilst they fit the parts to my car. Honestly, they are just lovely and I cannot give them enough stars for the service they have given me. They have definitely made a regular customer out of me and Wild Rose (thats what I call my beautiful defender ?) whether they like it or not! ??
