Its made from heavy duty 6mm thick mild steel with zinc plating. This Defender Steering Guard is very easy to fit, it bolts onto the chassis. Our Land Rover Defender Steering Guard kit includes stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers fitting kit. Standard finish is zinc plating but can easily also be spray painted prior to fitting. This extension glass has two variations: fixed blackout glass or a slide-opening versions, depending on your choice. Sold in pairs.
If you choose the slide-opening extension glass, this will feature a similar internal window frame and will sit inside a 2nd smaller cut-out. The fixed version is a blacked-out glass sheet. Both need to be bonded onto your Defender's side panels with Automotive Window Bonding Adhesive, see below.
