Its made from heavy duty 6mm thick mild steel with zinc plating. This Defender Steering Guard is very easy to fit, it bolts onto the chassis. Our Land Rover Defender Steering Guard kit includes stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers fitting kit. Standard finish is zinc plating but can easily also be spray painted prior to fitting. The back plate is machined from billet aluminium and has intricate detail machined into it with rounded edges and curved contours giving a true quality appearance to the door of your vehicle.
The back plates are supplied as a pair and are easily fitted with just one retaining screw holding them in place. The manufacturers have gone to great lengths to ensure the handle is firmly fitted to the door as the original would have been. They have machined the necessary features to the back of the plate to ensure the same fitment is achieved.
